Jay Lasser, M.D., established The Center for Work Stress Reduction in 1994. Dr. Lasser is a graduate of Colgate University and New Jersey Medical School, and completed his residency in psychiatry at The Institute of Living/University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as the American College of Forensic Examiners. He has served on the boards of the Academy of Organizational and Occupational Psychiatrists, the Connecticut Psychiatric Society, and is Past President of the Hartford County Psychiatric Society.
In addition to his private patient practice, Dr. Lasser serves as a court-appointed expert witness for commitment and competency issues. On the workplace side, he has worked with many organizations; including private corporations, governmental agencies, public service organizations, and hospitals. He is also experienced working with smaller-sized companies such as family businesses, physician practice groups, and law firms.
